I tried. Success? Failure?
I wasn't really sure how well this strip would work out. I'm still a little unsure about it. The text in the last panel looks pretty atrocious. I'll probably go in and edit this strip some tonight.
I made it following the awesome Atmosphere concert last night, which was awesome. Minnesota hip-hop is fun. I will say this, though: the ease with which you can get a room full of white kids to raise their right arm in an arc and move it up and down to the beat now is equal parts impressive and sad. Thanks, Eight Mile, for making us all a little self-conscious about being at a rap concert and the whole Eminem thing.
Oh, and the guy before Atmosphere, called Blueprint, was pretty fun. He sang along to "Billie Jean" while making it clear that he didn't actually know the words, and "Big Girls Need Love, Too" was fun, if unsurprising. His pentultimate song was really familiar, and I couldn't put my finger on how I knew it. Finally it became clear that he is a member of Soul Position (okay, actually Soul Position is just him and RJD2), and the song was "Final Frontier" from the first RJD2 album, Deadringer.
Oh, and I read somewheres that M.J.Fox will be on Boston Legal. I'll have to watch that. It'll be like watching an old friend, or family, or whatever. I mean, we watched that kid grow up. I wrote a comic about how I feel about his Marty a little bit back. (hint: I feel like he could be me, given the right supporting cast)
wtf? Secret codes in your printer so the Government can track you down?
