Sometimes these things are really hard to write. I tried figuring out where to go with yesterday's strip (was gonna do the ol story-ling thingy) but I just couldn't come up with anything. I didn't have enough of a character to go on with the woman, because she doesn't really feed conflict. Plus I feel uncomfortable with the blatant stereotype that she embodies. I don't like promoting that kind of view of women, and joking about it makes me feel slightly uncomfortable; although it is true that my coworker actually said those things. I'll admit that I've been hit up for drinks in bars before, but I just run away to another part of the bar to order my drinks. I don't need that kind of attention, thanks.
It is nice, though, when a guy buys drinks for a female friend of yours, who then passes them on to you. Those guys deserve what they get. One of my favorite situations? Watching guys offer girls drinks on dollar-drink night or some deeply discounted night. Nothing like acting smug about offering to cover someone's two buck drink.
So instead I wrote about the office again. I enjoy the idea of Ahmadullah getting introspective, as well as flipping out, since usually he's just the source of penis jokes.
