Today is something along the lines of Administrative Assistants Day. Think Secretaries Day. So, the bosses are all taking the Admin. Asst.s out to lunch, and then the AAs get to leave for the day. Sounds decent, right? I'm an AA, right? Wrong. I'm a temp. Instead of getting free lunch and the afternoon off, I get to cover for the other AAs. I don't get lunch, I get the shaft.

My roommate and I are going to see Q&NOTU tonight at the Black Cat. They play there about once every other month, and it seems like they always sell the place out. The wierdest part is because they are a local band, and because they play the area so often, the crowd knows every song. EVERY SONG. Not only that, but there are parts of some songs that employ clapping. The crowd participation, coupled with in large part the same group at every show, has lead to even more clapping at intervals not previously delineated on the album. Basically, it feels like most of the crowd gets together before the show (or at some point between shows) to practice and make up new times to clap. Hopefully my roommate tries to keep up and fails miserably and I laugh at him. and then he buys me a drink. Buy me a drink, Gregory...
