Because this comic didn't work as well on paper as it apparently did in my mind-- I want to use this space to ignore the comic and instead to say bye to my friend Greg. We met in first year Russian class in Fall 2001 and sat in the same corner (with this pregnant girl who spilled her coffee all over her things in between us).
After the first year of Russian together Greg and I became friends. He must have fallen madly in love with me because he began showing up everywhere I was (sometimes I like to piss him off by telling everyone that he was stalking me). I drew comics for The Daily Cardinal-- Greg began writing sports for The Daily Cardinal. I worked part-time at the Wisconsin Historical Society-- Greg got a job in the Society as well. We had the same majors, Russian and History, so every semester (except when I was in Moscow and he was in St. Petersburg) we had at least one class together. He became quite a staple in the 2004-5 run of the comic. And now he says that he and Jonesy are going to write some joint-comic thing on this site(!)
Anyway, Greg's gone back home to his beloved Philly before he heads out to the Ukraine for Peace Corps this fall. Greg, you will be missed.
