Pizza
Hey, look! We're eating pizza in the first panel! We're at this Papa John's we found out on the red line. It was very bizarre-- this little Papa John's retaurant that was just like an American one nestled in between produkti stores and huge apartment buildings in the middle of nowhere. It looked like lots of foreign people went there-- I guess the dorm for foreign kids at Moscow State was nearby.
Also, I think this comic is the last one with Andrei Dmitrievich--- which is sad. But maybe not so much because it means new comics start soon.
So yeah. Andy's blog post today. Do you know "Svefn g englar" off of Agaetis byrjun? Yeah, I can't listen to it. Andy and I's Drawing I instructor from Argentina had this strange obsession with Iceland that apparently only extended musically to ONE Sigur Ros song. That he would play over and over in class while we drew. And this was like 5 years ago-- so we had never even heard of Sigur Ros at this point. Once, a year or two after we took the class, I walked into the Daily Cardinal's graphics office and Andy was very excited and said, "KVJ . . .! Play it for LB!" KVJ started playing "Svefn g englar" while Andy looked at me expectantly. I said, "Oh GOD. It's the DRAWING SONG," and Andy laughed.
